It's Women's History Month. In order to create the change we seek to create, we must first be educated in where we have a disadvantage. That's where this conversation goes, as Audrey Paris Giannini joins me for a second episode, "A Conversation About Money."
Full disclaimer, we are two white women of privilege having the conversation, and recognize that bias at the top of the episode. With that, we hope you'll find value in the topics discussed, and no matter where you sit in your own privilege, find value in the start of a complicated conversation.
Audrey says, "just because you're intimidated, don't act uninterested." Damn.
I can't tell you how many times because I didn't understand, and didn't want to seem uninformed, that I instead acted uninterested. That all changed when I left my "comfortable" job to start a business of my own - I had no other choice than to get curious, uncomfortable, and have those tough conversations about money.
This is the start of a "double click" into the complicated topics of what does it mean to redefine womanhood, but also the tools needed to actually realize the change we seek to create.
Thanks for joining in, and we are excited to share more in the coming weeks and months.
X,
KLG
