Do you ever meet someone that you just KNOW is exactly where they're supposed to be? Meet Audrey Paris Giannini; this woman knows herself. No, like really knows herself. So much so that she relinquished herself from the golden handcuffs of public accounting to pursue and education and career in therapy.
The editing process is similar to therapy in that you resist going, but are happy once you're there; it usually takes longer than you thought it would; it can be painful, but (mostly) always worth it. I find my most meaningful lessons each week on the "virtual editing floor." The wisdom of my and their former selves comes pouring from the speakers, and I am reminded that within us all, we have the answers we seek.
Audrey has spent the past two years breaking down almost every major social construct in her life. She sold off everything to live as a full-time digital nomad with her husband. She is pursuing a career as a therapist after 10 years in public accounting. She started her own firm to specifically help women entrepreneurs start their business (she is my CPA, FYI, and total slaps).
When we live boldly, we invite others to do the same. Thank you, Audrey, for living boldly as hell.
You reminded me that to redefine "it all," we must be willing to let go of "the plan." I haven't let go yet; there are a few remaining shreds left in the clenched corners of my fist.
I'm hoping with a few more listens, my grip my finally loosen.
X,
KLG
