Trust women. Women, trust yourselves.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.- Robert Frost
Our November 6th workday did not begin with the sounds of news anchors, TikTok influencers, or radio DJs, but rather the rhythmic writing of American poet Robert Frost and our own steady voices.
“Whose woods these are I think I know.
To watch his woods fill up with snow.”
Kacie walked into the office in a t-shirt that read “Déjà vu.” Well damn if this doesn’t feel familiar. Have we been here before? Also, asking for a friend, “What stage of grief is tense cackling?”
“Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.”
Okay, yep, these surroundings look bleak. But as someone who hates to catch a chill, it’s arguably too damn cold out here to stop for long and admire the problem. Isn’t it true that in the darkness, we find hope? In the darkness, we seek the light.
“He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.”
Yeah, to be fair, little horse, we did too. Wildly shakes the alarm clock hoping the date is incorrect.
“But I have promises to keep,
and miles to go before I sleep.”
Rest here for a beat. Take your time. And take care of yourself.
When you’re ready, take up the reins again and do so in good company. Many firm grips can take the lead when you need to rest.
Together, we move forward. We have promises to keep. And miles to go before we sleep.
For friends - new and old -
Let us (re)introduce ourselves, our mission, and what you can come to expect from us - today, and everyday.
We are Katie Louise Mullins and Kacie Lett Gordon. We are best friends, business partners, storytellers, and coaches. We founded IT ALL, a feminine energy company, three years ago in search of stories told by real women redefining what it means to have “it all.”
What we’ve learned? Stories have power. They have the power to change systems, transform lives, shatter glass ceilings, unlock information, and shift mindsets.
We exist to tell new stories - those told to us, and the ones we tell ourselves.
Today, we invite you to immerse yourself in those stories here on our Fuck “It All” Substack. A hub built of the promise and reminder to Trust women. And, women, trust yourselves.
We have and always will bet on the power of a single individual - especially women - to change the collective. We are here to help as many women as humanly possible step into and own their personal power so that they can show up to the spaces they occupy to transform them for good.
We need every single one of you to deeply care for yourselves, rest, and restore. Because the work ahead of us is the call of a lifetime - our lifetime. We are here - as sounding boards, collaborators, coaches, and friends - to walk with you.
We will see you here at our new hub weekly; please consider subscribing and sharing with a friend to support the work. It cannot be done in a vacuum, we need all of you.
